S.O.L.I.D. Authentication® has validated whether the web site is genuine. But how does a manufacturer or trademark owner warn a consumer that their logo or trademark is being used by an unauthorised web site?
Now, with SOLID 3PX™ the owner of the logo can warn the consumer of the use of their logo on a third party's site outside the control of that web site owner. Anyone can copy a logo and put it on a site, abuse is systemic. Now the owner of that logo can warn about its illegitimate use.
The video above shows three distinct internet authentications taking place. Firstly the S.O.L.I.D. Authentication® window validates a site is genuine, in this case IMRG'S web site. Secondly moving the cursor over the logo's on one of their members sites produces a seperate small window that leaves the browser and joins the S.O.L.I.D. Authentication® window. This shows the IMRG logo authenticating this member is legitimately displaying the IMRG ISIS logo on their web site. The moving window authenticates that the logo owner has authorised this site to display their logo.
The third window shows a web site which is displaying IMRG's ISIS logos without authorisation. As soon as the page loads a similar additional window appears showing the ISIS logo, but this time with 'NOT AUTHORISED' written across it in red. This clearly indicates to the consumer that this web site is displaying this credibility mark without the authorisation from the mark owner. If there was suspicion that it was an illegal site it could be blocked completely. The consumer knows where they stand, they know if it's a real site and know the use of the logos is truly authorised, or not.
